       The most prestigious "National Child Award" for exceptional achievement in Academics, Arts and Sports was conferred on M. ABILASH of class X of Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School by Ministry of Women and Child Welfare in a special function organised in New Delhi.

 

       He has presented lot of papers on various topics, participated in symposium and seminars. Recently M. Abhilash has presented an innovative idea about developing low cost devices to remove pests from stored food grains and method to extract power from waste water.

 

      A silver medal, a citation and a cash award of Rs.10,000/- were presented to M.Abilash by Smt. Krishna Tirath, Hon'ble Minister for Women and Child Welfare.

    

      Fr. M.S. John Bosco, Principal of the school along with Fr. Edward Anandaraj, School Vice Principal congratulated M. Abilash for this unique achievement and the guide Teacher P.A. Vincent Raj, Head of the Department of Physics.

 

      A twin function, Children's Day & Teacher's Day 2009 was celebrated without much pomp and show on 14th November 2009 at Escande Hall amidst downpour of rain.

 

      Fr. A . Thomas, Parish Preist of Sacred Heart Church, was the chief guest and addressed the students. The management honoured all teachers by presenting mementos.

            

        Prizes were disbursed to the winners of various talent search competitions like dancing, mimicry, elocution in Tamil & English essay writing and drawing.

 

       A drama titled "EMALOGATHIL ORU ENQUIRY" enacted by the staff got the appreciation from all the students.
