2006 - 07 :

    

On 25th June 2005 we had the school day celebrations when Principal of Pondicherry Engineering college Dr. T.G. Palanivelu delivered the school day address and presented prizes to talented athletes.

Rotary club Pondicherry COSMOS arranged in-service programme for the teachers for the second time.

From 13th to 20th August 2005, the school organized a North India tour and 42 teachers both male and female enjoyed the tour to New Delhi, Agra, Haridwar and Moussouri.

+2 students proceeded to Ooty and Black Thunder during quarterly holidays.

As it was in the past, our school campus was thrown open to the clergy to conduct retreat for all the priests of Archdiocese during September holidays.

Teachers day was celebrated on 5th September 2005, and Mr. Shanmugasundaram, retired Superintendent of Police delivered the Teachers’ day address and honoured the teachers who completed 25 years of service in this institution.

December 7th 2005, is a memorable day in the annuls of Petit Seminaire, as the Government of India adjudged our school as the best institution in connection with imparting best computer education in schools.

A cash award of Rupees 1.5 lakhs and a citation was presented to me, and I received this meritorious award “3rd Computer Literacy Award for Schools” from His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President of India in a special function arranged at Vignan Bhavan, New Delhi, on 7th December 2005 in the presence of Hon’ble minister Thiru Dhayanidhi Maran.

On 6th January 2006, the management arranged a dinner to mark the achievement in which 15 of our teachers were awarded with gifts for not availing casual leave during the calendar year 2005.

On 20th March 2006, all the students and teachers participated in the celebrations associated with feast of St. Joseph, our patron.

On 20th April 2006, we arranged year ending party to felicitate three of our teachers who retired from their active services due to super annuation. The management

Presented all the retirement benefits to Mr. G. Bernard, Mr. Marie Antoine and Mr. David Yesudian and wished them a happy peaceful retired life.

22nd May 2006 is a day of sorrow and grief for our school as Mr. M. Albert, School Assistant expired suddenly due to brief illness after serving this institution for 30 long years since 1976. May his soul rest in peace.

This academic year started gloriously on Thursday the 1st June 2006 and the next day 10 of our students got selected in JIPMER-MBBS entrance examination.

To give fair opportunity to all the players, this year we have conducted the sports meet in three phases. On 10th June 2006, quarter finals were arranged - semi finals on 17th June and finals and other spectacular events on 24th June (i.e) today.

+1 classes were commenced on 12th June 2006 and we welcome all the aspiring doctors & engineers in our midst.
