In 1996, good numbers of past students of Petit Seminaire felt the need to have Alumini Association and we have one such association with Mr. Joseph Mariadoss, former Education Minister of Pondicherry, as president. Through this websites we appeal sincerely to all the students to come forward to strength this Alumni by providing information about your whereabouts and please contact us to enroll your names as a member in Alumini Association. We intend to bring a souveneir and a permanent address book of all our past students.       All the old students of our school spread out all over the world are requested sincerely to contact the school office and please let us know about your present position. You are also requested to communicate to us how much you have got benefited through this institution and your good opinion about your Alma meter, so that this piece of information and your suggestions will highly enlighten the present younger generation and the students will get enough motivation towards their studies. AN APPEAL TO THE OLD STUDENTS AND OTHER BENEFACTORS       The School is 157 years old. The building needs a total renovation. This is the wish of our Archbishop and also of our staff and students. We have taken up the “U” shaped main block around the lawn in the first phase. The “U” shaped main block is made up of 18000 sq. feet both ground floor and first floor put together. Each sq. feet costs Rs.200/-. If each and every old student contributed at least for a sq. feet the renovation can be carried out with much ease. Hence we expect that all our alumni need to take an active part in the renovation process.      We request all our old students to register their names in the application given herewith. This will help us to communicate with you for further communication. We also request you to participate in the following scholarship schemes. We have some amount for those scholarships but these needs to be enhanced and increased and increased. 1. “Petit Scholarship” is meant to honour the School/State toppers in +2 examinations. The amount available is Rs.20, 000/-. The donors of this scholarship are Rev.Fr. J. Paul, Mr. Pazhamalai Pillai & Master Sainath. 2. “Fr. Escande Scholarship” is meant honour the School/State toppers in Matriculation examinations. The amount available is Rs.20, 000/-. The donors of this scholarship are Rev.Fr. J. Paul, Mr. Pazhamalai Pillai & Master Sainath. 3. “Fr. Paul’s Scholarship” is meant to honour the top scorers in +2, Matriculation from among the wards of our school staff. The amount available is Rs.30, 000/-. The donor of this scholarship so far is Rev.Fr. J. Paul. 4. “Fr. Guillerium’s Scholarship” is meant to honour the state toppers in English language both in +2, Matriculation exams. The amount available is Rs.1,00,000/-. The donor is Mr. Vincent Noel. 5. “Archbishop Michael Augustine Scholarship” is to assist the economically weaker students if they are educationally bright. The amount available is Rs.2,35,000/-. The donors are Fr. S. Peter, Fr. M.Peter, Ganesh & others, Augustine Prosper, M. Dandabani, Urmilaben, Muktaben, Subramanian, Dr. Smile, R. Mariadoss, Fr. P. Jacob & Mr. J.G. Adrein. We have plans to institute a few more scholarships to honour the Science, Mathematics, Tamil, French and Hindi toppers if some donors come forward. We will bw happy if the old students of our institution come forward to contribute towards the renovation / scholarship. The future generations of students will remember you with gratitude.
